Put this on your TBR if you want to read a saphic, gothic story that will find it's place in the weird girl canon.

Put this on your TBR if you enjoy immigration stories (this is 2 for 1).

She Made Herself a Monster by Anna Kovatcheva 3.5/5 stars

Put this on your TBR if you enjoy folk horror or enjoy women who make opportunities for themselves.

Fourth Princess by Janie Chang

Why it interests me: a gothic story in a non-western setting.

The Renovation by Kenan Orhan

Why it interests me: I love stories where you don't know what is actually real. In this one, a woman wakes up in her bathroom that has been converted into a prison cell.

Maria the Wanted by V. Castro

Why it interests me: A vampire story with Aztec influences.

I Hope You Find What You're Looking for by Bsrat Mezghebe

Why it interests me: an Eritrean immigration story.

The Body by Bethany C. Morrow

Why it interests me: a supernatural horror story with deconstructing vibes.
